Necessary Nutrition for Sportsperson

Don’t you think health is one of the most paramount factors for growth and evolution of Humans? Well, just hold on for a moment, take a deep breath and think once, is it not the most vital component for the refinement of humankind.

What do you people think, what nutrition is? What it is all about? Is it something which makes you sluggish?  Well, what i believe is –“Nutrition is a source which is responsible for well-being and evolution of an organism in terms of health and immunity. In very simple terms we can say, nutrition is the right choices of food one makes, and the effect of those foods on health”. A human body needs constant energy, adequate amount of protein, essential fats, vitamins and minerals to sustain, grow and function properly. And a proper choice of nutrition can help a person to come out with positive and live his/her life to the fullest.  So the word ‘sluggish’ doesn’t exist anywhere, when we are particularly talking about health, nutrition and prosperity of humankind.

A human body needs constant energy, optimum amount of protein, vitamins and minerals, so that it can constantly keep functioning in proper manner.   • CARBOHYDRATES:

As we are talking about nutrition, here carbohydrate plays an important part in the upliftment of the whole body. A human body changes the carbohydrate to glucose, which is a form of sugar basically, and stores it in human muscles as glycogen. It later on gets converted into energy, which is really important to a human body for constant boost and power. Eat a diet that gets about 60% of its calories from carbohydrates such as oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatoes, 100% whole wheat bread, beans and lentils, apples, mango, oranges, grapefruit, blueberries, bananas, strawberries etc.

  • NUTRIENTS:

It is anything which nourishes a living being and make it much more refine. So here is my listing of foods which are high in nutrients- Broccoli, spinach, green salad, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, onions, carrots, green beans, peas etc.

 

  • PROTEIN:  Get optimum amount of protein, but not too muchA human body basically needs protein to build and repair tissues. Protein is a component which acts as an important building block of bones, muscles, skin and blood. The best sources of protein are eggs, red meats, chicken breast, salmon fish, tuna fish, nuts, pumpkin seeds, yogurt, tofu etc. high protein diets

Milk is one of the best sources of protein, carbohydrate and calcium. So these trios may be particularly helpful for sportsperson’s. The more focus should be on fluids, which helps a person to stay hydrated every time and everywhere, especially in summer or hot weather. Drink fluids early and often.

 

  • FATS:

Let us come to Fats now. Well, this particular word gives us Goosebumps every time. We utter it, right! Don’t be stressed out ladies and gentlemen. Fats are good. Yes, you have heard it correct, fats are beneficial if consumed in a balanced proportion. When eaten in unbalanced and large amounts, it can lead to weight gain and obesity. So, go easy on fat. Always try to consume unsaturated fat such as nuts, avocados, olives, vegetable oils, and fatty fish like Tuna and Salmon.

 

  • WATER:

Last but not the least of course, as I have said earlier also getting enough fluid is utmost important for a human body to survive without any hindrance. Our body loses water through sweating, breathing and digestion. So it’s really important for a person to re-hydrate by drinking fluids and consuming foods which contain water.

So the matter of concern here is health. Health is a paramount thing which needs to be polished and nurtured in such a way, that it gets reflect in your personality and attitude.  Fitness has become a trend now. Don’t be left behind people. Join the trend, feel the vibe and always stay healthy.
